| 1) You don't need the Labjack to upload or download a map between your PC and your Romulator. The Labjack is used during real-time mode for data acquisition. 2) So, if your PC has no usb port, you don't need a serial to usb converter to hook up the Romulator. 3) But I presume your PC has a usb port and no serial, as most of actual laptop, even if you wrote the opposite : "i have the Belkin serial to USB adapter". 4) So you need a usb to serial (RS232) adapter and your Belkin should be one. Which serial port does the driver emulate ? You may modify the emulated port if needed, using the Windows panel control / system /.... Be sure not to use the internal modem COM port as it will make a conflict. I use such an adapter and didn't have any issue when modifying the COM port in the Zem. I used COM3, COM4 and COM5.
